Guiding Principles
1. Safety can never be the number one priority.
2. Safety is not created by rules, but by what people actually do.
3. The world is fundamentally unpredictable.
Welcome to the DEGAS website
High levels of safety and high levels of quality are the result of a learning organization and aviation with its home grown safety culture can be an effective role model when you wish to upgrade the learning capabilities of your organization. For many organizations quite often the main challenge is to balance competing goals. A learning culture is a great asset to finding that balance.
DEGAS introduces and explains the six elements that support the growth of the aviation learning culture and we assist organizations that would like to implement these elements in their own environment. Implementation can sometimes be difficult, so we also provide the DEGAS-Circle, a framework that might be helpful.
